Cosmetic Ingredients L-(+)-Erythrulose DHA Erythrulose
Products Description
Erythrulose is a natural ketose. Generally used in conjunction with dihydroxyacetone DHA. Make DHA darker in color and more evenly distributed. Dosage: 1%-3% for water phase below 40℃. Erythrulose is a natural tanning ingredient that provides a more real, more uniform, and longer-lasting tanning effect. Due to its smooth tanning kinetics, Erythrulose Pur is a particularly useful progressive tanning product. Erythrulose Pur can be well combined with ActiBiso-DHA (hydroxyacetone) for two product types, classic self-tanning agent and progressive tanning agent. Erythrulose is a natural ketose that reacts with the amino groups of protein peptides on the skin surface through Maillard reaction to produce a brown polymer product that directly binds to the skin surface (stratum corneum), which is compatible with 1,3-dihydroxyacetone. In contrast, Erythrulose Pur provides a more natural and true tan, lasts longer and the formula is more stable. As a partner of DHA. Erythulose improves key self-tanning product characteristics such as less streaks, more natural color, and Erythrulose Pur avoids skin dryness and irritation. Erythrulose causes a permanent tanning effect. Erythrulose Pur can only be removed through the skin's natural desquamation process.
Erythrulose Pur, as the water-soluble sunless skin-tanning agent with high purity, is produced by green and natural fermentation. Erythrulose reacts with free amino groups of keratin in the corneum of the epidermis. This conversion of reducing sugar with amino acids, peptides or proteins is similar to the “Maillard reaction”, imparting long-lasting and long-acting, even and gentle brown color without stripes, similar to the natural sunlight tanning kinetics while without sun exposure, protecting your delicate skin from UVs. Erythrulose Pur also can be combined with our other product for synergistic interaction, like DHA. Thus Erythrulose is easy to use for formulators, providing more flexibility and application in skin & hair products.

Applications
The final result obtained from self-tanning preparations based on Erythrulose depends largely on its application technique. Here are some self-application tips to achieve a smooth and even look:
- Prepare the skin by cleansing and then exfoliate using a sponge. This way you will avoid uneven application of the color.
- Moisturize the area first, taking care to include the bony parts of the ankles, hooves and knees.
- Apply to the skin in thin layers where you want color, less on thicker skin, as the color lasts longer in these areas.
- To avoid uneven darkening on areas such as elbows, ankles and knees, remove excess cream over bony prominences with a damp cotton pad or damp cloth.
- Wash hands immediately after application to avoid blackened palms. Alternatively, wear gloves for application.
- To avoid stains on clothes, wait 30 minutes for the product to dry before wearing the clothes.
- Do not shave, bathe or swim for at least one hour after applying the product.
- Reapply regularly to maintain color.
Technical data:
Erythrulose is stable in a pH range between 4 and 5.5. Citric acid did not show any destabilizing effect on Erythrulose. Erythrulose can be used in a wide range of self-tanning compositions, even in combination with other known active ingredients, e.g. G. pigments and sunscreen agents.– solubility: soluble in water and ethanol
– Recommended storage temperature at 6°C.
The suggested usage rate is 0.5% to 3%.
