Product Description
Vitamin B9 (folate) is found in a wide variety of foods, the richest sources are liver, dark green leafy vegetables, beans, wheat germ and yeast. It is important that we have a sufficient intake of vitamin B9 - in folate form and folic acid as it helps produce nucleic acids (like DNA), form blood cells in the bone marrow to ensure rapid cell growth in infancy, adolescence, and pregnancy and also controls blood levels. Folic acid can be added to a variety of foods, such as flour, salt, breakfast cereals as well as beverages, soft drinks and infant nutrition products.
