Health Care N-Acety-L-Cysteine Capsule CAS 616-91-1 NAC Capsule
Products Description
N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is a precursor for the amino acid L-cysteine which when taken orally can cause the body to produce more of the potent antioxidant glutathione that it otherwise would. By raising glutathione levels NAC provides antioxidant effects and similar benefits to taking bioavailable glutathione supplements. In addition to its ability to raise the body’s production of glutathione, NAC also supports healthy liver, lung, and kidney function and may support healthy immune system functioning.

Function
- Antioxidant effect: NAC is the precursor of glutathione and can help increase the level of glutathione in the body, thereby enhancing antioxidant capacity and protecting cells from oxidative damage.
- Respiratory Health: NAC can help thin and clear mucus from the respiratory tract and is often used to treat chronic bronchitis and other respiratory illnesses.
- Mental Health: Some research suggests that NAC may have some adjunctive therapeutic effects on mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
- Cardiovascular Health: NAC may help improve cardiovascular health and reduce the risk of heart disease, in part due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Immune System Support: NAC may enhance immune system function and help the body fight off infections.
- Improves Insulin Sensitivity: Some research suggests that NAC may help improve insulin sensitivity, potentially benefiting people with diabetes.
Recommended Usage
The recommended dosage for N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is two 500 mg capsules per day for a total daily dose of 1000 mg. For a more potent effect this dosage can be increased to 4 capsules per day (2000 mg), but we do not recommend exceeding 4 capsules per day. NAC is best taken on an empty stomach for proper absorption.
