Vegetable squalene is a colorless or yellow transparent oily liquid with a pleasant smell. It absorbs oxygen and becomes sticky into linseed oil liquid, soluble in ethyl ether, petroleum ether, acetone and carbon tetrachloride, slightly soluble in ethanol and acetic acid, insoluble in water, and decomposable at 330℃ under normal pressure.
