LABSA 96% Dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid CAS No.27176-87-0
Products Description
Dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid(LABSA) (C18H30O3S), also called linear alkyl benzene, dodecyl sulfonic acid. It is an anionic surfactant, often used as a raw material for various detergents or used to produce linear alkyl benzene sulfonate sodium, ammonium and ethanolamine salts. It can also be used as a curing catalyst for amino baking paint.
Sulfonic acid (LABSA) is an organic acid with the general formula R-SO3H, where R represents a hydrocarbon group. It is strongly acidic and has relatively large water solubility. It is used to make dyes, drugs, and detergents, and has the same characteristics as acids.
Most sulfonic acids are synthetic products, only a few sulfonic acids such as B-aminoethanesulfonic acid NH2CH2CH2SO3H exist in nature. The sulfonic acid group is a strong water-soluble strong acidic group, and sulfonic acids are all water-soluble strong acidic compounds.
Sulfonic acid (LABSA) can be prepared by the sulfonation reaction of aromatic hydrocarbons or the oxidation reaction of mercaptans. Methanesulfonic acid can be used as a catalyst for esterification, hydrolysis and alkylation. The long-chain sulfonic acid sodium salt C11H23-CH2 is a kind of detergent that can resist hard water. The sulfonic acid groups in many dye molecules make colored compounds water-soluble.
