Product Description
Nannochloropsis Powder is a kind of unicellular marine microalgae, belonging to Chlorophyta, Chlorophyceae, Tetrasporales, Coccomgxaceae. With thin cell wall, its cell is round or ovoid, and the diameter is 2-4μm. Nannochloropsis multiply fast and is rich in nutrition; therefore it is widely used in aquaculture, and is an ideal bait for breeding arcidae, shrimp, crab and rotifer.
Nannochloropsis algae of the highest quality, produced in closed photobioreactors under controlled conditions to GMP and HACCP standards. The microalgae are dehydrated and spray-dried gently. Due to the low particle size and high purity, the powder is well suited for rearing fish and shrimp larvae in green water culture, as well as feed for zooplankton and filter feeders.
Nannochloropsis is a genus of alga comprising 6 known species. The genus in the current taxonomic classification was first termed by Hibberd. The species have mostly been known from the marine environment but also occur in fresh and brackish water. All of the species are small, nonmotile spheres which do not express any distinct morphological feature, and cannot be distinguished by either light or electron microscopy.
