What Is Pink Kaolin Clay?
Pink Kaolin Clay, sometimes called Rose Clay, is a highly adsorbent clay that cleanses the skin. It's especially beneficial for dry skin and wonderful in use as a clay poultice, mud pack, facial mask and even in some lotion and cleanser recipes. It gently exfoliates and cleanses resulting in younger looking skin. Clays used in water based products are best preserved with broad spectrum preservatives such as Essential's Preservative Blend.
What is pink clay called?
Kaolinite (Rose Clay). It has exfoliating properties. It is also known as pink clay and is mild kaolin clay that is effective on normal to dry skin and gently cleanse and exfoliate the skin while improving the skin's circulation.
Benefits of Pink Clay
Pink clay is a combination of white and red clay, so it contains benefits from both. White clay (kaolin) is very beneficial for oily skin, it helps to control oil production. Red clay is used for mature skin that needs improvement in elasticity and boost in collagen products.

How to use pink clay?
This clay is very easy to mix at home. The rule of thumb is to pour liquids into clay (not the other way around). This way you will avoid any lumps and will have nice, smooth mixture.
You can dilute clay with any liquid of your liking: water, mineral water, milk, cream, and herbal tea. In other words, mix clay with liquid until thick sour cream consistency. Then you can add oil, honey and other additives.
Do not dilute pink clay in metal bowls. You can use glass, wood, silicone or even plastic (though not recommended) container.
Pink clay masks dry very fast and can form dense crust. Apply your masks for 10-15 minutes maximum and do not exceed this time.
Avoid applying mask to eye and lip area
Is it OK to use clay mask everyday?
While clay masks are ideal zit-busting skin rescuers, too much of it could also lead to skin dryness. As such, clay masks should only be used once a week for those with dry or sensitive skin. For oilier skin types, you may choose to use a clay mask twice a week if your skin agrees with it.
