What is Kombucha?
Kombucha is a fermented beverage consisting of black tea and sugar (from various sources, including cane sugar, fruit or honey) that's used as a functional, probiotic food. It contains a colony of bacteria and yeast that are responsible for initiating the fermentation process once combined with sugar. After fermentation, kombucha becomes carbonated and contains vinegar, B vitamins, enzymes, probiotics and a high concentration of acid (acetic, gluconic and lactic).
Health Benefits of Kombucha Tea Powder:
There are many reasons drinking kombucha is a good idea, but one of the biggest ones is that it is full of beneficial bacteria known as probiotics.

Fermented foods with probiotics like sauerkraut, yogurt, kimchi, and kombucha replace and replenish these beneficial bacteria, and may
- Improve digestive function
- Lower risk of diarrhea
- Improve mental health
- Cause weight loss
- Boost the immune system
Kombucha may also control blood sugar, and reduce risk of heart diseas
How to use Kombucha Powder?
Kombucha powder is super easy to use - just like a protein shake, yerba matemix, or coconut milk powder- all you need to do is add water. Still or sparkling both work exceptionally well, and can be the perfect alternative to all those sugary fizzy drinks you’ve been trying to avoid. Pop it into a blender or shake it up in a protein shaker (we recommend a ratio of 3 teaspoons of kombucha powder to every cup of water) and away you go.
What is the best time to drink kombucha?
First thing in the morning
It's a great low caffeine alternative to coffee or tea, so you can enjoy a little boost without the dreaded crash! It has also been suggested that consuming kombucha on an empty stomach may also help to balance your gut bacteria to aid digestion throughout the day.
Is Kombucha Mix Probiotic Powder?
Yes, our kombucha powder is exactly that. Just like any other probiotic powder, it has a white-ish beige colour to it, and when dissolved into water has an orange, tea-like colour.
